Chronicles Of Narnia:Prince Caspian……..where’d the magic go?

I have to say that I was a fan of the first Narnia film. It was full of that childhood wonderment and magic. I don’t mind mind dipping back into that kind of thing from time to time through movies. I was expecting much the same with Prince Caspian, only to find a whole lot of nothing.
Firstly….and I mean no offense to the young actors involved, but the producers must be kicking themselves a tad. In the first Narnia, these kids were very cute, but I gotta say, they grew up kinda awkward looking. Don’t hate me for my shallowness! It’s a fact. I simply didn’t buy the handsome Prince Caspian falling for the teenage girl with a big bottom lip. He’s a prince, he can have anyone….and it aint like he fell for her personality because they really hardly say a word to each other in the film! The younger girl who was a cute kid in the first Narnia, decided to grow buck teeth since then. Not a wise move. She still tries to ACT cute in this film, but it just doesn’t happen I’m afraid.
Secondly, what happened to the fun of Narnia? This new film is all about battle’s and fighting. I like a good battle scene as much as the next man, but haven’t we already seen the exact scenes in Lord Of The Rings and the countless other efforts that came after? It did feel like Narnia wanted to be the fourth Lord Of The Rings, instead of that magical, fun-filled adventure film it should have been.
Thirdly, enough with the fantasy trilogy flicks…Chronicles Of Narnia, The Golden Compass, The Spiderwick Chronicles…..on and on they go….please, let us come up for some air Hollywood!
That’s all.
